you should take it to the apple store and bitch them out and if that doesnt work then send to AppleCare or ebay it and have it labeled "like NEW CONDITION"

Hey, i think its macbook of first generation. does any of you guys own a third generation macbook (you know with 2.16 doul core 2 proc.). does it have any heat problems?

heat problems? it's still gets hot, if that's what you're asking but the discoloration stuff has been fixed a while ago

you need to cover that part with shieldzone or marware wrist protection . That helps keep discoloration out and protects that palm area also, annnnd makes it easier on ur wrists.

My school makes you wash your hands before you use a macbook, i think that you should do that

Well, it really doesn't matter if you wash your hands or not for discoloration. Sure, it get's rid of the germs so other students don't get sick, but it's you finger oils that discolor it. Even if you wash your hands, every two minutes or so your finger oils are at the same strength they were at before you washed your hands, and that's why I got a Black MacBook. I prefer simple-washable fingerprints to discoloration.

I use clorox wipes on mine. wipe it down once a week and have had no problems
